Miss Uganda 2023 Hannah Karema Tumukunde was crowned the winner during a grand finale at UMA Multipurpose Hall held on Saturday, March 18, 2023.
The UMA Multipurpose Hall was electrified as the Miss Uganda Beauty Pageant’s grand finale got underway.
Twenty stunning contenders competed for the title in a breathtaking spectacle for spectators.
It reopened with a lavish red-carpet event that the elite of the celebrity world attended.
Oliver Nakakande was declared the winner of Miss Uganda when it was last conducted in July 2019 because of the COVID-19 pandemic.
Levixone, Jackie Chandiru, B2C Music, and other artists performed at the event, which was hosted by Mitch Egwang and Anita Fabiola.
Each contestant was equally deserving, thus the judges’ choice was difficult. The anxiety in the room increased as the findings were revealed.
After the third runner-up, the second runner-up was announced. As the first runner-up was declared, the audience held its breath until cheering when the winner was proclaimed.
Hannah Karema Tumukunde took home the prize after winning the judges’ hearts with her composure, self-assurance, and intelligence.
Along with Prossy Agwang, Jerusha Muwanguzi, Jesca Sserwadda, and Whitney Martha Ademun, Karema made it to the top five competitors.
